"This company did the most thorough job assessment of the 3 contractors who did an estimate of the work needed. Juan was so easy to talk to as well as his employees. The work was spot on. The project was an old house that has been neglected for a long time. All in all, the metal roof was about $2k more than an asphalt shingled roof. The roof fits in with the neighborhood and turned out awesome looking. Country Roads Exteriors added needed decking over the existing roof decking planks, did a fairly neat tear off of old roof and replaced with metal roof. They replaced almost all fascia boards covering the eves on a hipped roof as well as gutters all the way around with a gutter guard on the north side of roof. Great company to work with open and easy communication via text and email. I recommend this business based on work ethic, final work outcome and materials used."

"Juan was super nice, and offered to consult with us about our roof, even if we didn't end up hiring him. He seemed very knowledgeable and was good at communicating in a way we could understand. That gave me the impression that he genuinely loves what he does. Our roof leaked in December during a rain storm, and in the resulting cascade of bad news, we discovered our roof was actually leaking everywhere, and was riddled with mold, due to poor installation, lack of ventilation and substandard materials, done by Home Depot. I was skeptical when Juan told me we needed a whole new roof, since our roof was only 7 years old. Our insurance adjuster even made it sound like Juan was just doing a sales tactic because we didn't technically need a new roof "yet". However, even the adjuster thought our roof would only last another year. When I got a 2nd opinion from another roofer, they told me they wouldn't even take the job unless it was a full re-roof because they couldn't give me any kind of guarantee on it being in such bad shape, and independently confirmed the roof, at best, had one year left. At that point, it occurred to me, why would I spend three or four grand to fix the roof now, and then spend the full ten to twelve grand in a year, either way? Replacing the entire roof now, was actually the cheaper option in the long run. Juan was right from the beginning, and that made me trust him, so I hired Country Roads. Juan was super responsive throughout the whole process. He let us know they had a surplus of the upgraded materials, if we were willing to go with a certain color, and we were, so he upgraded our materials and warranty at no extra cost! He even wrote us a letter and took pictures, so we could submit a claim to Sedgewick, under the Oregon Repose Statute, for reimbursement, since we had to replace our "new" roof so early in its life, not to mention we need to replace lots of drywall and remediate mold (expensive!!). Otherwise, we had a lot of fun chatting with the roofing crew and their journeyman Alex. They were impressively fast and they did a great job cleaning up every day. On the second day we brought them two dozen donuts for breakfast, and they were so happy you'd think we threw them a whole party. On the third day, the job was done before noon. I can't recommend Country Roads enough. 6 stars if I could."

Never having contracted for a roof replacement before, I can say that working with Juan and his team was a great experience. Their price beat what we received from competitors, and even though some issues were encountered during the project (as they inevitably are), there were no change orders. Juan and his team kept in contact with us through the project. The crew was professional and diligent, and the quality of the work was excellent, and they cleaned up things nicely. In addition, they came in ahead of schedule, even with intermittent rain during the project. Roofs can be a daunting expense for any homeowner, so it pays to shop around. "Country Roads Roofing did an excellent job re-roofing my home! Juan and his team were so wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing roofing work! I had an active roof leak and needed help quickly, and their team was responsive, professional, and reassuring from the start. Juan spent an hour with me evaluating all of my various options, advising me that replacing my entire roof was in my best interest due to the leakage and poor craftsmanship of the entire roof (I had already had my roof patched a few times before). He had more members of his team take a look as well and give their opinions. Other roofers offered to patch up the hole, but once the whole roof was torn off, it was discovered, like Juan guessed, that there was more damage underneath than previously thought. The wood was rotting and the trusses were warping due to all the excess weight from two layers of roofing and long term water damage. Juan and his team replaced plywood, added additional support to the trusses and made sure the entire job was done right. Also, they provided a fair and transparent estimate, communicated clearly throughout the process, and completed the entire job in just two days! They brought out 12 guys and had two layers of my roof torn off an then replace so fast! They got it all done right before the atmospheric river came through. The quality of their work and efficiency truly exceeded my expectations. They even came out a few days later to do another inspection to make sure nothing was missed and they spray painted all pipes and hardware to make sure it matched my new black roof color. I’m very grateful for their prompt service and would highly recommend Country Roads Roofing to anyone in need of reliable, high-quality roofing work. We've lived in our home for 9 years and this roof has been a nightmare the entire time, but not any longer! We are so thankful and I know it sounds cheesy, but I actually feel like I made a friend. Once that was fixed I hired them to do some roof upkeep/improvements. They built us a “cricket” to keep water and debris away from the chimney, upgraded our exhaust pipe leak protection and repaired the roofing around the skylights. "No one ever wants to smell mildew when they open their attic access door, and no one ever wants to hear that their roof is leaking. A new roof is a major expense, and it can be kind of scary to choose a contractor for a job of this size. With costs that can vary wildly, and quality/service outcomes that can do the same, finding the right company for the job can be a really stressful situation. After getting bids from four local companies, we decided to go with Juan of Country Roads Exteriors. We chose him for multiple reasons; first, despite multiple companies looking at the job, Juan was the only one who noted a broken truss and lack of insulation in our attic space. I felt confident that with that level of attention to detail, that he would do a great job for us. Second, his price was fantastic. Not only was he extremely competitive with other roofing contractors in the area, but he dealt with our change order for unexpected additional sheeting and repairs in an incredibly fair way. The entire process was very transparent, and I always knew where things stood. Although there were a lot of unknowns with our particular job, I never felt afraid that there would be huge unexpected expenses. Third, Juan is very responsive and an excellent communicator. It was obvious right away that happy customers and a job well done are his primary goals. Juan kept me informed at every step of the project, and provided fantastic workers for the job.
